Delta, Atlanta Braves Announce SkyMiles Medallion Lot at Turner Field

/PRNewswire/ -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) and the Atlanta Braves today announced the opening of the Delta SkyMiles Medallion Lot at Turner Field, making over 500 convenient parking spaces available to SkyMiles Medallion members.

The Delta-branded lot – a portion of the current Green Parking Lot – will be located directly across from the main entrance to Turner Field at the corner of Hank Aaron Drive and Ralph D. Abernathy Drive. Members show their Medallion card to gain access to the lot and pay the normal rate for parking.

"Delta has had a longstanding partnership with the Braves and all Braves fans making the addition of the SkyMiles Medallion Lot a natural extension of our efforts to provide Delta customers with superior service and amenities," said Tim Mapes, Delta Senior Vice President Marketing. "This is the latest in a long line of Delta actions reinforcing our role as Atlanta's hometown airline."

The Delta SkyMiles Medallion Lot will be available starting with the Braves scheduled exhibition games at Turner Field on March 29 and 30. Their home opener against the Philadelphia Phillies is set for 7:35 p.m. ET, Friday, April 8, 2011.

Delta is the official airline of the Atlanta Braves and provides the team's charter service. Delta and the Braves have been partners since the team moved to Atlanta in 1966.

Tom Glavine's #47 Gets Retired--You Save

/PRNewswire/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:AAI) , today launched a special one-day, $47 sale to more than 47 destinations in honor of pitching great and AirTran Airways' endorser Tom Glavine.

Glavine's signature number 47 will be retired in Atlanta tonight in a special ceremony. To commemorate this occasion, the airline has brought $47 fares in from the bullpen for a very limited time.

"Having my number retired is one of the greatest highlights of my career," said Glavine. "Being able to share this moment with all my fans with this sale from AirTran makes this moment all the more special."

The sale focuses on Atlanta, where the iconic hurler began and ended his stellar career. There are also special Boston-based fares, Glavine's hometown.

These special fares are available for one-day purchase through August 6, 2010, and are good for travel on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays through October 7, 2010. Like all AirTran Airways fares, prices included in this sale are available for one-way travel and do not require a roundtrip purchase or an overnight stay.
