US Airways Races into Daytona Beach with the Start of New Daily Service from Its Charlotte, N.C. Hub

TEMPE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Just in time for the 50th running of the Daytona 500, US Airways (NYSE: LCC) begins new, daily service today between Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) and its hub at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT). The inaugural flight will depart DAB at 8:30 a.m. and arrive at CLT at 10:15 a.m. US Airways Express carrier Republic Airlines will operate the route with 86-seat Embraer 175 regional jet aircraft.

“US Airways customers can now fly to 13 destinations in the Sunshine State and customers from Daytona Beach are able to conveniently connect through Charlotte to 121 non-stop domestic and international destinations,” said Andrew Nocella, US Airways Senior Vice President, Schedule Planning and Alliances.
