(NYSE:AAI) , today honored legendary Georgia sports announcer Larry Munson by launching a sale for travel between Atlanta and 43 of the airline's other destinations. In recognition of Munson's upcoming birthday at age 86 and after having announced his retirement earlier this week after 43 seasons of calling football at Georgia, AirTran Airways offers fares to 43 cities for only $86* one-way. The special fares are available for purchase through September 27, 2008, and are good for travel through November 19, 2008. Fares are valid for travel on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Like all AirTran Airways fares, prices included in this sale are available for one-way travel and do not require a roundtrip purchase or an overnight stay.
